My Review of Provitalize, Probiotic for Menopause & Gut Health

Navigation

Navigating the ups and downs of menopause often feels like you’re fighting a literal battle with yourself. As a woman in my mid-40s, I’ve had to deal with everything from hot flashes and night sweats to low energy and – every woman’s favorite symptom to hate – weight gain. It’s almost like my body is rebelling against me, and up until now, I’ve felt pretty helpless to do anything about it.

A few months ago, I came across an Instagram ad for Provitalize, a natural supplement that claimed it could provide relief from many of my most frustrating menopause symptoms. The best part? The ad said that Provitalize actually helps support healthy weight management.

Having experimented with my fair share of supplements and so-called “miracle remedies” over the years, I’ve learned to take bold claims with a grain of salt. Now, I know that any company can generate science lingo to support its claims. What really stuck out about Provitalize was the number of raving customer reviews it had, all submitted by women who look and feel exactly like me.

I was skeptical, but also hopeful. So, I decided to give it a try. For 90 days, I faithfully followed the recommended dosage and kept a detailed journal of everything I felt and saw. I monitored how intense and frequent my hot flashes were, cataloged my energy levels, and paid close attention to digestion and weight changes.

Given the results, I decided to put together this little review. The goal here is to provide an honest, first-hand account of my experience with Provitalize. I hope you, whoever you are, find this useful!

90 Day Test

The Pros & Cons

Provitalize is perfect for:

Consideration:

The Verdict

Bottom Line: I found Provitalize to be a very promising natural solution for treating menopause symptoms and managing weight gain.

After I finished my 90-day trial of Provitalize, I’m comfortable saying that it has become part and parcel of my personal menopause routine. While it’s by no means a “magic bullet” that solves every menopause-related issue, I was more than happy with the improvements I saw.

For starters, I noticed a gradual reduction in the frequency and severity of my hot flashes and night sweats, both of which had been very disruptive to both my sleep and quality of life. I also noticed a significant increase in my energy levels, which were crucial to keeping from feeling like a zombie halfway through the day. My digestion improved as well, and I noticed a modest (but encouraging) weight loss, especially around my midsection.

What really stood out to me was Provitalize’s holistic, gut-focused approach to menopause relief. Few other supplements even acknowledge the delicate relationship between hormones, digestion, and overall wellness, but I’m now more convinced of the importance of that connection than ever before. I appreciate the fact that the Provitalize formula relies only on science-backed probiotics, herbal extracts, vitamins, and minerals rather than some new “cure-all herb of the week”.

While it’s true that Provitalize is priced at a premium, compared to other supplements, I believe its quality and effectiveness make it worth the investment, especially for women who are really serious about mitigating their menopause symptoms. When all else fails, the 90-day guarantee should give you some peace of mind.

Overall, I would recommend Provitalize to any woman who wants relief from menopause symptoms and needs help with healthy, natural weight management.

Ingredient Analysis

User Type Provitalize 3

I can’t claim to be a nutritionist or supplements expert, but I think that we all need to consider the ingredients when evaluating any supplement. Again, companies can put whatever they want on the label. But in the end, it’s what goes inside our bodies that really counts.

Right off the bat, I was pleased to see that Provitalize boasts a blend of all-natural ingredients. There’s no artificial additives, fillers, or preservatives, which reduces the chances that I might have a reaction to something completely unrelated to the supplement.

Speaking of which, Provitalize is also free of common allergens like gluten, soy, and dairy. Like most high-quality supplements, it comes in a vegan-friendly, delayed-release capsule for optimal absorption.

The real heart of Provitalize’s formula is its Anti-Inflammatory Blend, which makes up roughly 60% of the total ingredients. This blend includes turmeric-derived curcuminoids, moringa leaf extract, and two strains of beneficial bacteria – B. breve and B. lactis. A quick Google search will take you to studies and reports that demonstrate how these ingredients have the potential to support gut health, reduce inflammation, and alleviate common digestive issues like bloating.

About 30% of the formula constitutes Provitalize’s a Metabolism-Boosting Blend. The key player here is a patented probiotic strain called L. gasseri SBT 2055. Studies show that this lactic acid bacterium can help combat obesity, contributing to both weight loss and healthy blood sugar levels.

Rounding out the formula is Provitalize’s “Absorption-Enhancing Blend”, which includes black pepper extract (BioPerine) and sunflower lecithin. These ingredients are commonly used in supplements to increase the bioavailability of other compounds. Essentially, it increases how effectively the body can utilize the active ingredients in Provitalize after they’re ingested.

In the end, I really appreciate Provitalize’s transparency when it comes to ingredients, especially their disclosing of the specific strains of probiotics used. This level of detail often indicates a high-quality, well-researched formula, because virtually anyone can look up the components to see if they’re really backed by science.

Ingredient Analysis: In a nutshell

✅ Free of common allergens like gluten, soy, and dairy.

Clinical Testing

Speaking of looking up ingredients, I was eager to see the clinical evidence supporting Provitalize’s claims. As I said, everything is completely available if you search the NIH database or any other website you trust.

For starters, let’s look at the Anti-Inflammatory Blend. The primary ingredient, turmeric, has been extensively studied for its anti-inflammatory benefits, with research suggesting it may help reduce joint pain and support digestive health. However, many of these studies use high-dose, standardized turmeric extracts, and the amount of curcuminoids in Provitalize may not match those doses.

I did note that there is a lot of promising research on moringa leaf and the included probiotic strains, but scientists are still trying to determine just how beneficial they really are.

Moving on to the “Metabolism-Boosting Blend”, the standout ingredient here is L. gasseri SBT 2055. A recent clinical study on this strain found that participants who took L. gasseri SBT 2055 for 12 weeks experienced significant reductions in body weight, BMI, and waist circumference compared to a placebo group. This is obviously intriguing and seems to back up the idea that L. gasseri can help with weight management. There are also several non-human studies, all of which show similar results.

Weight Loss Graph

In my opinion, it’s encouraging to see some clinical research backing up the potential benefits of Provitalize’s key ingredients. However, it’s also important to approach these clinical studies with a healthy dose of skepticism and to remember that individual results may vary.

Just because an ingredient has shown promise in a controlled research setting doesn’t necessarily mean it will work the same way for everyone in real-world conditions.

Sensory Attributes: Taste, Smell

Product_Pro_UGC_18

I’ll be perfectly frank: if a supplement is difficult to take, doesn’t taste good, or is too hard to incorporate into my daily routine, chances are I’m not sticking with it for long. I’m assuming most of you are similar, so I’m happy to report that Provitalize ticks all the boxes as far as I’m concerned.

First of all, I appreciated the ease and convenience of the capsule format. As someone who has struggled with large, hard-to-swallow pills in the past, I was relieved to find that the Provitalize capsules were relatively small. They’re also coated to make them extra easy to swallow, even if you can’t take a huge gulp of water.

In terms of taste and smell, there wasn’t much to report. The capsules themselves are flavorless and odorless, which I personally prefer. I didn’t experience any unpleasant aftertaste or burping, which can sometimes be an issue with supplements.

One aspect of the Provitalize experience that I particularly appreciated was the simplicity of the dosing. The recommended dose is just two capsules per day. I took mine with breakfast, even though you don’t need to take them with food. But since the capsules are time-release, you have a lot of flexibility.

My 90 Day Experience With Provitalize

Product_Pro_UGC_24

My Experience: 1 Week Down – 7

The first few days on Provitalize were relatively uneventful. I didn’t notice any dramatic shifts in my symptoms or overall well-being. However, this wasn’t entirely surprising, given that it was still very early in the process.

I would say things started to change around Day 7. First, I started to notice some subtle improvements in my digestion. As someone who has struggled with occasional bloating and irregularity after meals, I was pleased to find that my stomach felt a bit more settled and comfortable. My bowel movements also seemed to become more regular, which was a welcome change.

In terms of my menopause-specific symptoms, I didn’t really notice a difference yet. My journal shows that my hot flashes and night sweats were still occurring with the same frequency and intensity as before. That said, I felt like I had a bit more energy and mental clarity than I did in the month before. As far as the weight changes, I didn’t notice much of anything at all. I was monitoring my weight several times a day to account for meals, and – so far – my numbers hadn’t budged.

So, one week in, my experience with Provitalize was leaning positive, but I didn’t have that much to report overall. If I came away from the experience feeling a bit more energized and less foggy, that alone would be helpful.

My Experience: Day 30 – 8

After taking Provitalize for a full month, I started to notice some more significant changes in my overall health and well-being. While the improvements were still relatively subtle, they were noticeable enough that I found myself feeling much more optimistic about the supplement’s long-term potential.

By this point, my energy levels had shifted dramatically. While I was still experiencing some fatigue and the occasional afternoon slump, I found that I was able to power through my days with a bit more ease and clarity than before. This was a welcome change, as the constant bouts of low energy had been one of my most frustrating menopause symptoms.

Even better, I was starting to notice some small improvements in my hot flashes and night sweats. They weren’t gone by any means, but my journal clearly shows a drop in both severity and frequency. After years of having to deal with them, even this tiny remediation felt significant.

I mentioned before how Provitalize takes a “gut-centric” approach to menopause. By Day 30, the reason why was very clear. My stomach felt less bloated and more comfortable throughout the day, and my bowel movements had become much more regular and predictable. While these changes may not seem directly related to menopause, digestive issues are one of the most common complaints among women my age, so I’m happy to report that Provitalize delivers on that front.

Finally, there was some weight loss. It wasn’t much – maybe three pounds – but I actually would have been worried if it had been much more. What matters is that my clothes were fitting a bit looser and my midsection felt less bloated, which left me feeling encouraged.

My Experience: Day 90 – 9

By the time I reached the end of my 90-day trial of Provitalize, I had recorded quite a few changes in my journal.

One of the most significant improvements was a rather dramatic reduction in the frequency and severity of my hot flashes and night sweats. While I still experienced these symptoms occasionally, they were notably less intense and disruptive than before. I was able to sleep through the night more often and felt less self-conscious during the day. I hated worrying that my hot flashes could hit at any time, and Provitalize had virtually erased that fear.

I also continued to notice improvements in my energy levels and overall sense of well-being. While I still had some days where I felt tired or sluggish, I felt like I had a much more consistent level of energy throughout the day. This made it easier to stay focused and productive at work, and kept me from feeling completely out of it by dinner time.

While my stomach still felt more comfortable and less bloated overall, I didn’t notice any further improvements in regularity or digestive function. This wasn’t necessarily a disappointment, as I was still grateful for the progress I had made. Still, it did suggest that there may be limits to what Provitalize can achieve without more holistic dietary changes. After all, I didn’t change my diet one bit throughout the course of my three months with Provitalize. Had I done so, I might not have been able to properly verify its effects. Now that my 90-day trial is done, I’d love to introduce more fiber and leafy greens and see how that affects me.

Perhaps most surprising of all was the fact that I lost a total of seven pounds. While this isn’t a huge number, I looked and felt much better than I had previously. When you’re in your 40s and dealing with menopause, losing weight feels almost impossible. However, I’d managed to lose a few handfuls of midsection weight with no changes to my diet or exercise routine. And let me tell you, losing that seven pounds was more than enough to give me a boost in confidence.

Looking back on my journey with Provitalize, I have to say that I’m pleasantly surprised and quite satisfied with the results I achieved. It provided noticeable improvements in my menopause symptoms, weight, and overall quality of life, and it significantly reduced my hot flashes and night sweats. These alone were great, but losing seven pounds on top of that felt like a pretty big win after years of struggling with these issues.

Side Effects

Product_Pro_UGC_12

I’m pleased to report that I didn’t encounter any severe or concerning side effects while taking Provitalize. I did notice a few minor digestive issues during the first week of taking the supplement, but anyone will tell you that this is common when starting a new probiotic.

Initially, I experienced some mild bloating and gas during the first few days on Provitalize. This wasn’t particularly surprising to me, as probiotics tend to do that while they’re rebalancing the gut microbiome. Fortunately, these symptoms were mild and subsided within a few days as my body adjusted to the supplement.

That said, if you decide to give Provitalize a try, I recommend starting with the lowest recommended dose and gradually increasing it as tolerated. Beyond that, you should try to stay hydrated, eat a balanced diet, and listen to your body for any signs of discomfort or adverse reactions.

Side Effects: In a nutshell

✅ No severe or concerning side effects

Price and Value Analysis

IMG_7477

Let’s be honest – when it comes to supplements, cost is a major consideration. No matter how impressive the ingredients or how glowing the reviews are, if a product costs an arm and a leg, not many women are going to be able to afford it – even if it works! As part of my initial research into the supplement, I did my best to separate the price from the value.

First, there’s no denying that Provitalize is one of the more premium priced supplements on the market. At $49-$59 per bottle (depending on the quantity you order), it’s definitely more expensive than your average drugstore probiotic or multivitamin.

However, it’s also important to consider what you’re getting for that price. In my opinion, the quality and specificity of the ingredients, combined with the convenience of an all-in-one supplement, may justify the extra cost for some women.

Supplements can be tricky. If you need three other supplements to do the same job as Provitalize, you’re already going to be at or above the same price point. Then, you have to consider dosage. Some supplements want you to take three, four, or even six pills. But with Provitalize, you only need two. This means that a bottle will last about a month. That breaks down to around $1.63-$1.97 per day, depending on the price you pay per bottle.

ProductServing Per Bottle SizePrice per Serving Capsules Per Serving
Provitalize301.76 USD2 capsules a day
Hormone Harmony243.37 USD4 capsules a day
MenoDaily243.37 USD4 capsules a day

When you compare that to the cost of buying individual supplements for each of the ingredients in Provitalize (turmeric, moringa leaf, probiotics, etc.), the price starts to look more reasonable. More than that, the company offers a 90-day money-back guarantee. So, if you don’t notice any benefits at all, or if the benefits you do notice don’t seem worth it, you can get a full refund (minus shipping costs).

Still, for my money, the benefits were there, and they were more than worth the price.

Price and Value Analysis: In a nutshell

✅ Not the priciest out there
✅ Worth the price

Packaging and Sustainability

Though the company does rely on plastic in its packaging, it has done a good job trying to minimize the amount. Plastic is standard with supplements, as it typically offers the best mix of cost-effectiveness and protection.

The good news is that Provitalize’s parent company, Better Body Co. mentions using high-quality, non-GMO ingredients and working with reputable suppliers.

As a consumer who values transparency and sustainability, I would love to see more supplement companies sharing detailed information about their environmental impact and efforts to reduce waste and promote circularity.

While I appreciate Provitalize’s commitment to quality ingredients, I think there’s room for improvement in their packaging and overall sustainability practices.

Expert Q&A

Q: Are there any potential interactions between Provitalize and other medications or supplements?

A: Yes, some ingredients in Provitalize, such as turmeric and black pepper extract, can interact with blood thinners and other medications. If you’re taking any prescription drugs, it’s very important that you consult your doctor before adding Provitalize to your routine.

Q: How long does it typically take to see results with Provitalize?

A: As with any supplement (or medication, for that matter) results can vary from person to person. Personally, I began noticing changes in my digestion and energy levels within the first few weeks. However, it wasn’t until around the 6-week mark that I saw a noticeable difference in my hot flashes and night sweats. It’s a good idea to approach Provitalize with realistic expectations and patience. While some may experience rapid results, for most, the benefits are gradual and cumulative over time. That’s why I recommend committing to at least a 90-day trial.

Q: What makes Provitalize different from other menopause supplements on the market?

A: Having tried numerous menopause supplements over the years, I can confidently say that Provitalize stands out in several key ways. First, I appreciate the way it targets menopause symptoms from multiple angles. Rather than just focusing on one aspect, like hot flashes or mood swings, Provitalize takes a much more holistic approach. Provitalize also relies on high-quality, clinically studied ingredients. Unlike many supplements that skimp on the good stuff to cut costs, Provitalize prioritizes quality and efficacy. Finally, I appreciate the transparency from Better Body Co. With detailed ingredient lists and a 90-day money-back guarantee, it’s clear this company stands behind its products.

Q: Are there any common side effects to be aware of when starting Provitalize?

A: I tolerated Provitalize very well, with very mild and minimal side effects. According to the company, the most common side effect reported is mild digestive discomfort or bloating during the first few days. This is typically a sign that the probiotics are working to rebalance the gut flora. Personally, I experienced a bit of extra gas and bloating during my first week on Provitalize, but these symptoms quickly subsided and were very minor.
